How we grew Sweet Potatoes - SWFL

🌱 GROWING SWEET POTATOES - SWFL 🌱 🍠Who doesn’t LOVE Sweet Potatoes?! I have been asked on multiple occasions since posting our Sweet Potato success, to share how we did it! I would like to inform y’all of what worked for us in our area of South West Florida. We used Store Bought - Organic Jewel Yam (Sweet Potato) We used the slip and root method to get the process going! Use tooth picks to keep the other half outside of the mason jar. How to Brew our Herbal Flock Tea

To make our Herbal Flock Tea for your backyard poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and other domestic poultry and waterfowl) just fill your designated pot with 10-12 cups of water depending on flock size and heat to boiling. Add roughly 5-7 teaspoons of our dried herb mixture to a glass container. Pour the boiling water with caution over the herbs to completely cover them. Allow the steeping process to happen by letting the water and herbs soak for about ten to twenty minutes or so.  We recommend leaving it until the liquid has completely cooled for ease when handling.  If you wish, feel free to stir in a dash of raw honey for some great antibacterial health benefits to your...

Eggucation & Information 🥚

⁉️We are asked frequently, what method of storing fresh laid eggs is best?  💚My answer- It Depends! When we are talking about Fresh eggs from our homestead see what we do and why!  We have several laying hens on our Ranch! Our family personally prefers fresh unwashed eggs. Kept at room temperature is important. This is not always an option for every household or even us when we get those few muddy or poo covered eggs!  We currently leave a basket full of fresh room temperature eggs on our counter! These are for immediate use with in 2 weeks of being laid! Rule of thumb is if your nests are kept clean and filled with fresh bedding at all times, you...
