Oregano is a flowering plant in the mint family. The uses of oregano oil are abundant. Research shows Oregano is known to kill viruses especially those that involve the respiratory system. Studies have found that oregano essential oil, especially from the leaves of the oregano plant, has strong antioxidant properties. Always dilute with any application suggestions. Internal usage should be kept to no more than a week. Always test for skin sensitivity prior to widespread use and use on the feet when possible. Excessive use of any oil can lead to skin sensitization. Keep out of eyes, ears, or nose.
